This past weekend I had the pleasure of accommodating a couple of my friends who journeyed all the way from Australia and Calgary. I like to think that they brought the sun back with them because it was b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l for the duration of their stay! Our weekend started off with a delightful dinner held at Rodney’s Oyster House in Yaletown. In the earlier times, Yaletown was an industrialized area complete with rail yards and warehouses. This area is now filled block to block with shops and restaurants and is one of the most sought after neighborhoods in Vancouver. Rodney’s is located on the South side of Hamilton Street, between Davie St and Drake St. When approaching the restaurant, you’ll know you have the right place because of all the laughter and lip-smacking you can hear! Designed to look like the inside of a fishing boat, Rodney’s ambience is cozy and fun. We were placed on the upper level at a table for 6 and were served by a very attractive waiter (another bonus of the restaurant; very handsome male servers 🙂 Our table ordered servings of mussels and different types of oysters for dinner and couldn’t have been more satisfied.
After a stressful afternoon waiting in rush-hour traffic, my boyfriend and I listened to our stomachs and took off on a hunt for NAAM. The NAAM is a vegetarian restaurant located on West 4th Ave and was suggested by a good friend of ours. After another grueling 20 minutes in traffic we finally stumbled across the little hole in the wall and settled into a nice table for two. By the time we were served our very generous portions, the entire place was filled. If you’re ever in the area and have some time to spare, check out NAAM and their expansive menu!
Hope you all had a great weekend♥
